Human centred design

Today I saw the video of human centered design and I learn lots of fantastic products. There is a common feature among those works, that is the human centered, in other words, when designing the products, the designer has really deeply thought about what humans needs, how to satisfactory people's command and make their life more convenience.

For instance, the Prada fitting room really inspired me. The designer first thought what people concern when purchase. Most people care about how the clothes look like when putting on, so he design a small portable scanner, if you interested in something, scan it , then all the information and video about the cloth will display in the LCD. Also inside the fitting room there is a magic window, which allows costumer see the back and front at the same time. Moreover, the glass can change between transparent and blurry, so people inside can let their friends see them in the fitting room after dressing instead of going out.

I think the main principle in those successful products is everything based on the human’s need. When designing, the designer not thinks about the beautiful or quality, they just want to create an easy way in every little aspect.

Another principle among those designs is interaction, or we can call it ‘fun theory’---the communication between product and people can attract human and change the way we behave. Just like the information displayer in London Museum, it based on the subway which shows all the feedback and information from the visitor, so everybody can take part in and see everybody else words.

Another wonderful design is Cubeville which just focus on the fun in daily life, for example there are tank and flower in the cube also have lots of entertainment. It will be really comfortable to work in the cube.

To conclusion, human centered design is base on the human needs and has it own personality, which is not only functional but also personal. Besides I think human centered design will be a trend that has a great impact in future design. In the future designer should be more detail concerning about every little thing in order to make people life more convenience and easy.
