Basic information

The product name is Refresh mix flavor lemonade, which is a non-alcohol drink, the target market of it is young adults aged 20-30 and the family. It can be retail in the supermarket, convenience store, newsagency , fuel station ,restaurants, and coffee shop.



Current needs

The current needs of packaging design focus on the health and environmentally friendly. Also it is should be convenience, easy pack, and looks good.



Target market demographic

The target market of the product is young adults aged 20 to 50 and the family hold. Young adults is the major costumer of the soft drink which accounts for 74% of all consumption.(David,2009) The young adults generally have to work or study. When they boring, stress or feel thirsty, they would like some soft drink to give they a fresh feel, especially for the lunch, young adult like some soft drink to feel relax and light and cool for the afternoon’s work.



Young adults generally don’t have a high-income work so they would like to buy drink which is simple and not expensive. Most young adults also like to go out with friends, so when they go out such as BBQ, climbing, picnic, they will bring a six can pack.For some young adult that lives alone they will buy a six pack for one week consumption.



The family hold is also the major target of the soft drink because parents will buy drink for their children and when they go out for a day return trip for picnic they would like to bring some soft drink. Especially six can pack which is not heavy and enough for a small family.


Design benefit

The Refresh mix flavor lemonade is a lemon and lime flavor soft drink, which design for young adults and family hold. The packaging for the product looks fresh, simple and light, which meets young adults’ requirement. It is a hexagon shape which is compact and stable. There are two hole in each side which can hold the can in a fix place. There is two hole on the up surface of the product which is designed for the fingers to put in. so that is easy for lifting and carrying.

In the bottom of the packaging ,they are three bell fasten to each other which can make sure it is strong enough to hold six can.

Additional benefit

Because it is a hexagon shape, so there is a space in the center, that space is good for a promote flavor, it is a good way to promote new product and give customer benefit.

If it not on a promote session, the straw can be fit in that space which is convenience for drink.


Graphic design

Because the target market and the product, the graphic design focus on the fresh and cool feel. So I choose lemon and lime picture, the color of the packaging is light blue which can give a fresh feel. There is a lime and water picture on the side, which can give a strong shelf presence.

The typeface of the logo is handwriting, which is simple easy, and friendly.

So the front and picture match each other and integrity has a fresh feel.
